Women And Seeking Power

I have never broadcasted
my moves.
I don’t tell people
that I am pushing my sales
to the next level.
I might quietly ask for help
from the people I trust
but I don’t tell the world.

Why?

Because that brings out
the haters,
the people who don’t want me
to move to the next level,
the people who want me
to stay where I am.

Everyone deals with this.
I find, however, that
women deal with it more
(and usually,
unfortunately,
other women are the haters).

In an article
about Hillary Clinton
written by
NewDealer,
the writer shares

“She was at one of the
most popular periods of her life,
but as soon as she declared
a run for the Senate
her favorables plummeted
while her unfavorables rose sharply.
Then once she was elected,
her scores stabilized
and even improved.”

This happened again and again.
Every time she sought power,
there was resistance.
Then once she had the power,
that resistance faded.

This will likely
happen to you too.

There WILL be resistance
if you try to move
your career, your business, your sales
to the next level.

The good news is
once you’re at that next level,
the resistance should fade.
