Why Would Customers Talk About Your Product?

After I’ve written a story,
I ask myself
“Why would a reader
talk about this story?
What makes this story
remarkable?”

If I can’t think of a specific reason,
I know I have
some product development work
to do.

Stories
become bestsellers
because readers talk about them.

Products become successes
because customers talk about them.
They don’t talk about general things
like “I like the package.”
They talk about specific things
like
“The color of the package changes
to match my kitchen.”
or
“The package dissolves
after I’m done with it,
leaving no garbage behind.”

Why would customers
talk about your product?
