As a grinder,
when I look for partners,
I look for someone with a finder or minder profile.
I hadn’t thought about the Finder, Minder, Grinder comparison for entrepreneurs, but It does apply. I appreciate your thinking about this and making the comparison. I don’t know if I fully agree with your definitions, but each of us sees these terms differently. Off the cuff, I would define a Finder entrepreneur as one who generates ideas, creates chaos, but has the drive to have others clean up. This would be a “driver.” A Minder, would be an entrepreneur who is more careful and steady in the creation of their business. The Grinder, would be a person who is very persistent, but moves slowly, but progressively toward their goal.
I thought it was very interesting your use of these terms in another venue. I have all three of these traits, described above. In my running of businesses I was a chaos maker, but had great people to implement and clean up. I am also very persistent. One definition of leadship is breaking the status quo. I imagine the Finder, Minder and Grinder can do this in their own way.

The minder I undertsand but why do you want a finder type partner? The quality of not following through sounds pretty negative.
Actually I tend to pair with finders.
One of my buddies is a great starter.
Everything she starts, she starts with a bang.
I simply knew that she’ll be off to the next assignment shortly afterwards
and plan around it.
Guilty as charged. As a finder/chaos creator, I love partnering- mainly because I will stay committed to a person, more than I will an idea, and it helps me try to stay focused. (K your the best)
