There has been some discussion
on social media
about whether or not
Ivanka Trump’s fashion line
should suffer
because of her father’s policies.
As many
business building clothing designers
will tell you,
it is incredibly difficult
for a brand new designer
to be listed at the big retailers.
I suspect
the only reason
Ivanka Trump’s fashion line
was listed
was because her father was famous.
She benefited
from that association,
leveraging her father’s brand
to help hers.
It is logical
that, if his brand suffers,
hers will also.
This is the danger
of leveraging another brand.
The two brands are tied
– for better and for worse.
