Preparing For Rain

My most recent release
is a financial success
(in my terms).

What am I doing with that windfall?

I’ve banked it
to pay for
future book production expenses.
At the end of each sales day,
I think
“This will keep me writing
for another X days.”

Matt Paxton,
serial entrepreneur,
shares

“I’ve had a great five-year run.
But I know I’ll have
another bad five-year run
someday.
That’s just business.
You have to prepare for that
and save, save, save.
You can’t go out
and buy a Lamborghini.”

The first goal of business
is to not run out of money.

When you have some
sunny, sales-happy days,
put some money aside
for the rainy days ahead.
