A buddy recently went through
several rounds of interviews
with a company
and ended up not landing the job.

She blamed her resume.

That’s bullshit.
No one ever landed or lost a job
based on their resume alone.
That’s not the purpose
of a resume.

As Mike Figliuolo shares
“If you submit your resume
and get a phone call,
you’ve succeeded.
You’ve cut through the clutter
and grabbed their attention.
They’re interested in
spending time getting to know you.
I’ve never heard of
someone landing a job
with nothing but a resume
(and if you have,
I’d submit said hiring company
is terrible at candidate diligence).”

If you landed an interview,
your resume worked.
